Yep. That's me.
Hi there!
Zsófi here.
Let me talk a little bit about myself. I'm a 21-year-old university student from Hungary who took a gap year to volunteer in Italy. I'm volunteering at a really cool organization, helping out their social media and marketing department.
I took a gap year after my 5th semester because I felt a little bit lost and unsure about what I wanted to do with my life, and moving away from my hometown, family and my... well... "natural habitat" felt like both the craziest and the best decision ever. I was just really fed up with work and my classes and basically everything about my life, and I kept on daydreaming about packing my stuff and leave everything behind, and see the world and stepping out of my comfort-zone.
So when this opportunity came up, I didn't even think, I was immediately on board, and 2 months later I'm here, in Italy writing this little introduction.
I set up this blog to post about my experiences here and share all the stuff I learnt about living abroad. And to encourage everyone who's been dancing around the idea of volunteering abroad and travelling long-term. I will also post about my little daytrips, cool local traditions and probably about food.
